Mukayimo was founded in Hong Kong and was inspired by a primary school in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand. Due to the dire economic situation of the people, many children’s parents left to earn money abroad so they could support they families. These children are not in a position to get care and education from their own families, but thankfully many people, like Mukayimo´s founders, have helped by jointly building schools and recruiting volunteer teachers. The students are all under age and are very eager to learn more and achieve more opportunities.

Mukayimo focuses on children’s educational toys to help children learn hand-on ability and creativity. The brand offers fun, lasting educational toys that in a way bring children back to nature, to discover the outside world. According to research (and from our personal experience!) playing outside boosts kids´ cognitive development in ways that electronics can't. It is outside that they can learn bout nature and interact face to face with their peers. To help kids return to nature means we need to have a nature to return to. So, Mukayimo does their part in helping keeping our planet green by incorporating as many sustainable materials as possible into the manufacturing of their educational toys. It is Mukayimo´s mission to inspire parents and children to play, learn, explore, create and create memories together. The label promises to reserve only the best quality toys and resources to provide endless fun for the family, while also supporting the development of children.
