In cases where there is a lack of a plant- based alternative, the label works actively with suppliers on developing one.

HUM´s formulas combine both, using the exact amounts of standardized extracts that were proven in clinical trials. As with anything, there are different levels of quality when it comes to clinical trials. The gold standard is double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, where participants are divided into groups by chance and either receive a treatment (for example, a standardized plant extract) or a placebo. The researcher administering the substance does not know whether the participant receives the real thing or the placebo, which helps prevent unintentional tip-offs and bias. At the end of the study the results for the two groups are compared. Our mind is very powerful, recipients of placebos often experience results, aka the placebo effect. If the group that received the real treatment shows statistically significantly different results to the placebo group, a study can be deemed as having an effect.

As wrap, HUM uses a naturally biodegradable, compostable and SFI certified alternative to bubble wrap to protect your vitamins.
