Sauipe Swim

Created by sisters Anne and Marcia, Sauipe started almost by accident. Combining Anne’s experience in production, Marcia’s experience in business management, and their love for beach and fashion, Sauipe's ‘accidental’ beginning took place when the much coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition published 6 suits from Sauipe's first collection in 2008. That event set them on an organic and successful growth path.

An effortless chic and luxurious beachwear line, Sauipe designs are feminine, sophisticated and timeless. The slow fashion, small production approach appeals to customers that appreciate high-quality beachwear and have a discerning eye for unique styles. Since their first collection, Sauipe has focused on minimizing waste and providing optimal working conditions and fair wages for its associates, always concerned about their impact on the environment, and the quality of life of their employees. Produced sustainably, quality is valued over quantity.

The fabrics are manufactured by some of the best textile vendors from Brazil, which have implemented high technology and sustainable production practices that controls the consumption of water and limits chemical residue on the environment. By using materials that are environmentally friendly, streamlining production and following high standards of labor practices, Sauipe is committed to bringing to you the best swimwear while respecting the world in which we live. They truly believe that high quality and slow fashion translates into less waste and a more sustainable production chain. Sauipe is proud that all items are produced in their own, very small, family owned company. The Hacker sisters know the seamstresses personally, and have always encouraged them to be more entrepreneurial. For instance, they lend them the machines they own, and they can have a studio in their own home.

Sustainable decisions are at the core of Sauipe. From the packaging of the swimsuits to optimizing shipping and transportation, limiting the use of the office printer, and moving to digital platforms on almost everything they do. 90% Of the suits are created using a sustainable fabric. Under specific conditions, the fiber will decompose in 3 years. The remaining of the materials used, although not as friendly, are still produced in factories that follow strict sustainable practices from the chemicals they use to the water and electricity.

Sauipe´s values are the groundwork for their sustainable choices:
